TEA-PARTY LOON CHARLES DYER ARRESTED ON CHILD RAPE CHARGES

There’s this guy Marine Sgt. Charles Dyer who, all right, we kind of gave some prominent mental and visual real estate to back in our feature The 2nd Revolutionary War last fall. You know him, or at least the type, even if you didn’t see the piece: a touch unhinged, plenty conspiratorial, devoutly “patriotic,” a wee terror-minded, fairly Alex Jones-y, and, if Oklahoma sheriffs are to be believed, also a child-raping sodomite.
Right around the time we aired our video, Dyer, sometimes known as July4Patriot, had become a somewhat visible member of an especially fringe faction of the Barack Obama-loathing Tea Party movement called the “Oath Keepers.” Like the rest of them, he really likes guns and explosives and considers himself a defender of the constitution or a constitutional scholar or some such idiocy. But yeah, apparently he’s both a child rapist and forcible sodomist too. At least to hear the Stephens County Sheriff tell it. The age of the girl he is accused of raping, for people who wonder: seven years old. How he even found this child, according to admittedly weakly sourced reports: he is “closely” related to her.
Dyer defenders, shockingly and not at all out of character, say he was framed. The groups he’s affiliated with are now raising money to post the $50,000 bail. The arrest includes charges of weapons possession—a grenade launcher, to be exact—and came after a warrant was served and his property searched.
There’s some amusingly pathetic and lively (?) commentary and defense and prosecution advice going on over at Dyer’s Youtube page. It’s not exactly recommended, but we thought we’d put it out there.

jims: Pass no judgment til judgment is made! I just met the widow of a guy that offed himself after being accused of child molestation of a 12 year old boy....after the suicide the kid came forwad and said that he was just joking and the joke got carried away......wow. If hes guilty I say shoot the dude in teh nuts and let him die slow......but be careful what you jump into cuz if it was you that got accused you'd beg for anyone to hear your side.
