pbrittle: I read a lot of the earlier comments and one thing I noticed is a lot of people automatically (I would have to say with great bias) assume that these people are "on the right" or "conservatives" who just want to blame Obama. If you watch closely, they repeatedly say that both the left and the right are damaging the United States. They blame Bush as well. These guys are against bankers and corporate America first and foremost. Just because most of these guys are rednecks, doesn't mean they are straight up Republicans. It's deeper than that. I'm on board with some of the stuff these guys are saying, but I don't think militias are how you change things. One thing is for sure all my liberal friends would much rather sit at home, smoke pot then get off their ass to go to a war protest. We definitely don't have the same energy in America that empowered the civil rights and anti-war movement. It's pretty fuckin sad IMO....

dan5382: I think in a lot of ways they are right. I know in California alone there were over 3000 laws passed last year alone. How does that stand up to our constitution or even our state constitution? Who's checking these things? How far is too far? I however don't think that violence is the answer. I think an educated populace would do much better; but the real trick is how do you engage with a populace who prefers reality TV?

Greve: There are a lot of fucked up things going on in the world. These guys just missed the point I'm afraid. But you have to admit, there is a grain of truth in what they are saying.

grabthefunk: by the way these clowns should be arrested if they think their "Oath" which "never ends" gives them the right to dissobey the president. Because whether or not they knew what they were saying when they said "I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic;" The next sentence is "that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States" These guys are lunatics

Chocheniaa: This doc is interesting in many levels but it does a good job on illustrating how many mislead/entitled folks feel. As far as forming militias and invoking a civil war is an interesting argument. Yes, this country, our country is at a crucial point-- but when has it not been? If you think there was a point when there hasn't been, then "big government" was only keeping it from you. Either way if you want to consider a sort of civil war, and military/servicemen being a focal point or vanguard in forming a type of militia-- I am not surprised-- they are doing it already. These specific folks simply don't like our current "communist/social" leader. Which, btw, has been taken completely out of context. And if they were content enough with the previous government leaders-- there's not much change here. For example, Obama's contentions as president are not that different from Bush's (look it up). If you think having some sort of public healthcare program is communist/socialist-- go read Karl Marx if it isn't too dense for your ignorance and use your terms correctly. However, my point is this, both "extremes" in his country are not happy and if some sort of "civil war" or "revolution" takes place... it's happened before and it wasn't pretty then and it won't be pretty again... But from the looks of it, people look tired of talking.

NEOES: I love when people act as if the government doesn't do bad shit. As if we can trust them 100% because they're honestly looking out for our best interests. Give me a break. The sad part is actually using your right to say something makes you seem fucking crazy. So maybe he and some of them are a little loony...does that mean we discredit everything they say? We laugh at North Korea for people worshiping Kim Jong Il, but when someone has an opinion that the government does some shady stuff, they're called lunatics. Especially Obama fanatics...damn...

taylorzac42: For those who believe that socialists are at the root of this problem you are dead wrong. I'm an active socialist so I would know. We don't condone what has been going on in our government, a corporate take over. We are trying to bring people together to prevent the continuing capitalist take over of our nation. Democrats, Republicans, and the Tea Party movement are one in the same. They are all tools that corporations use to strip Americans of their freedom. Capitalism has created this mess. In America those with the money have control of the government and therefore the people. We all need to come together to protect our freedoms. NEOES: Now I understand. You don't give a shit because you watch True Blood. Makes perfect sense now. And in that show, there's one key factor: sure, those crazy Christians might be crazy, but I'd rather fight alongside them than with vampires who fucking eat people. That's the show's greatest flaw (among many others) it tries to make comparisons between gay rights and vampire rights, but the writers don't seem to see the difference between two guys getting married and supernatural monsters drinking people's blood. Fuck that show is so stupid.

NEOES: .... i'm pretty sure with the state of America today, if, a dictator did somehow take over, most of you would be like: "meh, whateves lol...i'm gonna go watch some TV." People in the West are so ridiculously apathetic...it's insane.

gianga: This is a site which is embraced by people who share common interests in subcultures of the world. Unfortunately that aim results in corporate media that strips the counter out of counterculture, as seen with the TRUE tea parties of late. Similarly we now we have kids in urban centers rocking the fashion without an ounce of fight left in them. Ironically they are the ones petrified when told that they will have to make concessions in lifestyle. For all the folks who think that the fight to uphold our identity as a nation is limited to an isolated group of marginal hillbillies: Cities have distinctly been centers of unrest in the past and the original Sons of Liberty originated in New York City around the time of the Stamp Act. To those who this resonates with: Realize you are not alone. The time for constructive change is now, and there are hordes of us even in cities like NYC.

SearsPoncho: Whoa now. I'm with you in the part about stepping the fuck up when you feel you should, but let's not get all holier-than-thou with the fashion and all that, okay? If you think the "kids today" are the first to embrace fashion, music, and culture from a so-called "counter culture" then you are sorely mistaken.

captaincheesepuff: i like where you're going, but get a grip. this isn't corporate media, and even if you think it is, it's better than anything you're hearing for the true big boys, even your beloved msnbc. now, wouldn't you rather people have access to videos and conversation like this than it being holed up in a liberal forum or message group where everyone already agrees with each other? that's doing no one any good except for the meaningless pats on the back.
