anonymous: all companies have a corporate aspect because they’re companies, its business, but companies like nike who have other ventures and are more mainstream obviously have more money. brands like that might not have skaters making the final decision, unlike brands like lakai which is run by skaters so they know what skaters want. IMO there’s nothing really wrong with the product in most cases but the team might be more family like @ a smaller company

Do you think any random fuck in Oregon can start a shoe company? Why do you think there aren’t any local shoe companies? Unlike decks, making shoes costs tons of $$$$$$$ to make so of course there are corporate minds behind skate shoe companies. Do you think it’s just Carroll, howard and kelly working at lakai? Chances are someone who doesn’t skate works at the Lakai headquarters. Buy shoes because they skate good and you don’t get negative vibes from. I’d rather buy a pair of nike SB’s than a company that makes me feel awkward buying them like Etnies, Osiris and Circa.

anonymous: one of the sickest episodes yet, out of this series for sure. Theyr right about olsen being an in the moment kind of guy. saw him on the beuty/beast tour and its way different watching him skate in person, R-A-W. he did get mad but he was trying a bunch of stuff over and over.
