Miley banks with Paris after the Jak's Meeting (Tommy G. styin' the airs off this tiny little bank; he was amazing all the way back in '85.)

anonymous: ive lived in sf but never met the guy. i probably will run into him when i move back there and skate more. some people hate him bc they just think hes an asshole. some have reasons. i can say, being from the east coast, a lot of ec skaters hated him and his mag for the obvious reason, if you read one of his magazines back then youd think that there was no east coast skate scene. then when the eastern exposures started coming out, mags started getting philly, dc, nyc photos all the time. pole jams, everything switch. we used to call transworld magazine transcalifornia magazine. but its all good. now kids are figureing out you should learn how to not only skate switch, but push switch. so ec got its props. like i said i never met jake, i respect him and like his band even. i reserve judgement until i meet him. but thats just an example of why some pros i knew from the 90s didnt like him.
