silaslassic: 400 millions is a lot of people but there are over 4 billion in china and since it's state television there probably wasn't much competition. i think that number is deceiving.

samuelsiesjo: It's about 1.3 billion ppl living in China, and I seriously doubt that even half of them owns a televisionset. I wouldn't say that the numbers are deceiving (though I wouldn't be suprices if those numbers were spiced up a bit for the commersial value). You just gotta realize that everything (and I mean everything) is on a much larger scale over there.
