Soft Focus Season 3

Music / Series

TakeItOrLeaveIt: Ian Svenonius is often more academic (even though he claims he's not academic) than most of the people he interviews, however his interesting questions (be it they came from false sources or not) prove that he is passionate about the history of music and is out to prove something to the artists he interviews. He ends up proving something to them and learning something himself. No denying that Ian is very knowledgeable and gets his guests to talk, other than Shaun Ryder many of his guests seem excited to have a place to rant. Ian's good at putting the conversation back on its rails after someone it can get totally derailed. The BBC styled intro's Ian has adapted well set the mood and are worthwhile for Soft Focus, a web show any music fan should check out before they check out be it hotel california or something that has burned down...

dilemmagoldman: Ian really had to work to get Jello to stop performing and engage a bit sincerely. Not one of the best episodes but enjoyable enough. The new adverts are bloody awful.
