SourceDecay: This is a bullshit video. All it takes is 20 minutes of internet research about the drug to see how dramatized this is. Really disappointing compared to other videos.

flabbergasted: I was disappointed with this documentary, I was expecting much more. I lived in COL most of my life, moved to the US in 2001, and I've never heard of anyone wanting to try escopolamina for fun. As you found out that is a complete misconception of it. This is as f*cked up as any drug can get. [If you want to see the devil through a 'party' drug, do research on "Basuco"]. And I'm deeply troubled by your written description of this documentary: attempting to understand and portray the reality of one country only through the eyes of this one drug it's akin to saying that after watching "Swansea Love Story" all of Great Britain is a f*cked up mess of Schedule II drugs users. There are so many things going on in COL, from the guerrillas and the drug business to the fact that that is the country with the most beauty pageants in the world. Hope to see more documentaries about the good and bad of this beautiful country.

Cloud9: Oh please, in the US we take worse stuff everyday in the overly processed, chemically & hormone/steroid enhanced shit we call food, the "pharmaceutical drugs/medicine" that is pure poison, and the sick, twisted, unnaturally sensibilities we call society. Oh, and add the tarred, chemical nicotine cigarettes (and everything else that's in that shit) that we "legally" buy and smoke. And I'm sure that this country quickly becomes "the scariest place on earth."

eao22285: Que Viva Colombia! Great story, but why can't the American media do a report on the beautiful side of Colombia. This country has more to offer than drugs and violence. I guess that would not get ratings. This story is good, but I do not like how they describe the country. I can not wait to be there in August because when I go, I do not have nothing to fear. I love Colombia and its people and I wish VBS would focus on better parts of Colombia and not always the drugs.

Cloud9: Does American media ever report on the beautiful side of anything that doesn't support it's own interests?! Consider who own's the US media - and that it is corporation(s), no differently from the oil, metal, & war machine companies who keep the war and strife instigated in the Middle East, and other parts of the world for profit & natural resource gain. You can't rely on mainstream media for truth, or fair & balanced, substantial reporting. VIce usually does a good job tho, but maybe their collaborations with major US corporations are stifling their creative honesty that they are known for ;(

wingedsoul: I think the reason most of us haven't heard of this is because the colombians themselves are actually frightened by it. It is kind of like those girls mentioned, they have cocaine to party, why the fuck would they want to use that crazy shit.

Ginseng: That was terrifying and fascinating. I can't believe I've never heard of this drug before. I also can't believe that gangs etc. haven't made the papers in the West abusing this stuff. Honestly I think the less people know about it the better.
