DidSomeoneSayDrugs: While I feel for those whose families are affected by this, it's somewhat hilarious to hear someone who has entered the country illegally complain that they are made to feel like a criminal. Welcome the US: break the wrong law in the wrong state (Texas, for example) and we will put you to death without a second thought. It's just how things are. I admit the United States is to blame for much if not most of the drug problems, the guns, and to a large extent, the formation of criminal gangs, as all of those were a response to or result of overtly racist laws and policies of the early to mid-1900's. The US, however, is not responsible for the poverty and low wages of Mexican workers living in Mexico, unless I missed some large, vital part of history. Accusing the US of being "unfair" in its handling of illegal aliens is disingenuous at best: I live in Florida and know several hard-working, self-employed legal immigrants from Cuba, Beirut, Greece... they did things the legal way and they now have nice houses with large TV's and generally drive more expensive cars than I can afford. They seem to be living and loving the "American Dream", at least as much as anyone can. In the end every persons choice is their own and they must take responsibility for their actions when they cross a border into a different sovereign country. We gave the Irish and Italians hell when they (legally) came over in the 1800's, and any culture that fails to assimilate into the US after a few hundred years should expect nothing less. It's no secret that there are members of the Mexican community that feel that lands in Texas, New Mexico, California, etc, should rightfully belong to Mexico. In light of this attitude, it is no surprise that people who consider themselves patriots within the US would actively like to kill every illegal they can. To be blunt, every illegal in this country should thank God every day that US law is liberal to the point that hunting illegals is itself illegal, because there would be no war if such laws were repealed; rather there would be an absolute slaughter similar to that of the original Native Americans as unmanned drones rained death down on helpless civilians and pro-militants alike.

IX_Evilheart: I'm Mexican I'm againt illegal immigration. Most mexicans said that it is unfair how the USA government treat illegal mexicans over there, but I'm sure those mexicans wouldn't be to happy in the event to illegals flooding Mexico. However a lot of people befinit from illegal workers in the USA (i.e. Agriculture). What the USA government should do is to issue temporal visas so these people who over there, do the job, get paid and then go back to Mexico.

IX_Evilheart: corrected version: I'm Mexican and I'm against illegal immigration. DidSomeoneSayDrugs: My understanding is the southern border of Mexico is heavily guarded against illegal immigration from other latin american countries, and when they catch someone, they aren't treated nearly as well as the US does with its illegals.

njrod: Dov Charney is absolutely right, despite his possible motives for cheap labor. However, that greed he has for money is a great thing. He provides health-care, stock options, numerous other employee incentives and fights for his workers cause, he is the ideal boss. Free Market Economics raises wages for everyone, unfortunately there will always be a poor community but in a free market society even they will be better off than those in socialist or communist countries. I too support open borders. With such a great influx of peoples there is an abundance of potential and competition for jobs, causing production and innovation to skyrocket. I believe Health-care, Retirement, Education etc. should all be funded out of your own pocket. However, I also support virtually NO taxes, meaning working men and women keep the hard earned money to spend, save and invest, eventually stimulating the economy, creating more jobs. -NJR, 1st generation Mexican American, East LA, CA

CanDMan: This is clearly not an unbiased doc on the situation. Sad, really. Let's ignore WHY that kid in the car was arrested (because he had a warrant) and let's ignore WHY that 16 year old's brother was deported (because it was his THIRD TIME being arrested). Let's have the person against immigration be a lunatic who says he want's to nuke mexico, and lets have the person who is for immigration either be underage and completly unaware of the complications behind the situation, or another lunatic who wants to let 'humanity work it out'. This IS humanity working it out, sir. Or worse, humanity 'working it out' would be guys with guns on the border shooting and killing people crossing. That would be letting humanity work it out. I'm all for allowing more immigrants citizenship to this country! Let them ALL in as long as they meet some requirements! Don't be a felon, learn the language, start paying taxes. God knows our economy could use the injection of a new base of taxpayers. Don't get me wrong, there were some good points made, but they were made by unreliable sources...thus defeating the points outright.

NEOES: Uh...no borders? Wow what a dumbass...in this era of terrorism, this man wants the borders to be open so anyone can fly to Mexico and just walk in, let alone immigrants. I'm pretty sure he cares about their plight...he just wants the cheap labor. It's so obvious. Something's wrong with him.

NEOES: There's nothing wrong with immigration. My parents are fucking immigrants, why would I be against it? But people who don't see anything wrong with illegal immigrants are naive. Sure, it may be mean, but fuck...it's illegal for a reason! Get your shit together and immigrate legally. I want immigration reform, it should be more open and flexible, but come on. Millions of talented and intelligent people are waiting to immigrate to the US, but can't because of these illegals forcing the government to make immigration tighter. And yeah, those kids know English, but wtf all they do is skate all day! Nice way to prove illegal immigrants are hard working...and the AA guy obviously loves NAFTA for all the slave labor he gets...

Jeffers: Why is it okay for someone from a problematic nation to force themselves on another nation rather than fix what they dislike about their own nation? (I'm not against amnesty and in fact agree there is a need for reform in the immigration system; specifically I hope to see something which enables illegal immigrants to work towards citizenship on a work related visa. Regardless of my opinion on the matter I do not see my initial question addressed in this documentary and therefore am asking it to you the viewers.)

verbatium8: The minutemen are zenophobic hillbilly's, Wheeler's kind of a prick and those little skater punks need to stay in fucking school. If you legalized your population and allowed them to pay taxes the schools might be worth going to and they wouldn't be throwing jail parties. Paying taxes also give you rights to organize. Labor Unions would actually work if there were no more economic slaves in the U.S.

arsenaleatsass: If an immigrant is paying into the system then he or she is a part of it. You can't get mad at a day labor who doesn't pay taxes because his illegal status keeps him from contributing to the hospitals, schools and roads that he uses.

heferass: this doc. seems a little bias towards the illegal immigrants side. the only people defending the U.S. are idiots and the people defending Mexico were kids with no real life experience and a Canadian immigrant with a company called American Apparel, this guy is just using America for profit. i bet you anything if it was a company based out of Mexico and called Canadian Apparel he wouldn't be shit. and besides he had made it apparent that most of his workers were illegal anyway.this was a terrible waste of time

GaryinTexas: Everyone in this doc was a little scary. Rated scariest to least scary...the American Apparel (slave labor) guy, the illegals (with little education and future), the wacky Minute Man guys and finally the black guy. The reason I put the MM guy third is because everyone can see within one minute who that guy is. Both the MM guy and the AA guy are pretty loose with the “facts”. I've never met anyone who is against immigration. We should all be against illegal immigration. If the laws need to be changed to allow more immigrants into the country, let's get the laws changed. Most of the country is still under the rule-of-law.
